Pula is a small town in the south-west of Sardinia where, in addition to the wonderful sea and still little frequented by mass tourism, you can admire the ancient ruins of Nora.
The Punic-Roman Archaeological Area of Nora is located on the promontory of Capo di Pula about 3 kilometers from the town.
Nora is the oldest city in Sardinia.
The ancient Church of Sant'Efisio also deserves attention.
The church, practically on the seashore, was built in the extra-urban cemetery area of the Phoenician-Punic city of Nora, where there were the tophet and a necropolis. It corresponds to the site where, according to tradition, Saint Efisio, a Roman warrior who converted to Christianity, was martyred. From 1st to 4th May we remember the great Efisio with the very famous Sagra di Sant'Efisio now in its 358th edition and nominated for a UNESCO event.
In the town of Pula there are all the services: post office - bank - supermarkets - bus stops for Cagliari - shops - bars - restaurants.
At the same time you can experience the peace and silence in the wild nature of Sardinia by walking towards the hinterland or discover the most spectacular and romantic corners and bays along the entire coast up to Teulada.
Pula is the starting point for MTB excursions of any level and degree, but also for athletes who love kitesurfing.
In the center of the town it is possible to rent any type of bike and MTB, even the Electric Bike.
In the evening Pula is very lively, especially in the main square where there are always numerous events to entertain tourists, both young and old.
Pula, for those looking for a super holiday by the sea, but not the exaggerated worldliness found in some places.
